My LinkedIn Import Isn't Showing The Most Recent Updates

Recently updated your LinkedIn profile, but your LinkedIn import isn't showing the most recent changes you made? You're in the right place!

Why aren't my updated profile details showing in Teal?

Before we get started, it's important to note that this issue is related to LinkedIn's caching of your profile. LinkedIn will cache certain profiles for up to 90 days, and that caching occurs within your URL.

Teal, sadly, has no control over whether LinkedIn will release/update that cache sooner than 90 days โ€“ it is a LinkedIn-specific action. This means that any attempt on our end to pull in your profile details will only result in finding what's been cached in that URL.

How can I import my updated information from LinkedIn?

If you'd still like to import details from your updated LinkedIn profile, one workaround is to export your profile as a PDF and importing that file into Teal.

NOTE: The PDF LinkedIn provides can be very graphic heavy, which can make the import difficult in another way and more disorganized.

If you run into this problem, we recommend copying and pasting the new details from LinkedIn into your Resume Builder. Then, to save you time, making updates in Teal directly moving forward.

Head to Your LinkedIn Profile

Once on your LinkedIn Profile, select "More" under the header of your profile and click "Save to PDF."

This will allow you to export the PDF of your LinkedIn profile with any new changes you've recently made and upload that file into Teal.
