Our Resume Builder allows you to import your resume details from your LinkedIn profile or an existing resume file (.docx or .pdf). Read on to learn how!
Open Your Resume Builder
If you didn't import your resume during the onboarding process, you'll be prompted to do so when you click into your Resume Builder. You'll see three options to import your career history: (1) Resume File, (2) LinkedIn URL, and (3) Paste Manually.
Import Methods
Resume File
Resume File allows you to upload an existing resume to import your career history into Teal. Our parser will attempt to read and write the details in the same format and organized manner that you have original provided and apply it to a Teal template.
LinkedIn URL
LinkedIn URL asks for your LinkedIn to add your career history from your profile. If you've updated your LinkedIn recently and you're seeing only your old profile details imported into Teal, refer to this article HERE.
Paste History
Paste History prompts you to copy your career history from elsewhere and paste it directly into Teal. Our parser will follow a similar process to the resume file upload to determine where to place your content in your Resume Builder.
Don't Want to Import Your Career History?
If you would like to start with a blank resume and manually fill out your experiences within our Resume Builder, you can click the "Skip, add later" button located at the bottom of the import menu.

Where should I go from here?
If you decide later on that you'd like to import your career history via one of the methods outlined above instead, you can choose to re-import your resume data.
