  • The goal is that your resume is as aligned with the job description as possible so that recruiters and hiring managers can easily pinpoint the relevant connections.

Three Ways to Select Jobs to Match

Option 1: Match to Previously Saved Jobs

Best for: Jobs you've already bookmarked in your Job Tracker

How to use:

  1. In the Job Matcher search bar, start typing the job title or company name of a job you've saved

  2. Select the job from the dropdown list of your saved jobs

  3. The job title, company, and description will automatically populate

  4. Click "Match Job" to begin analysis

Example: If you previously saved a "Customer Success Manager" position at "Acme Corp," simply type either term and select it from your saved jobs list.

Option 2: Match to Jobs from Search Results

Best for: Exploring new opportunities and discovering how your resume performs against various roles

How to use:

  1. Use the search bar to enter titles for jobs you're interested in (e.g., "Product Manager" or "Marketing Specialist")

  2. Browse the search results that appear

  3. Select a job that interests you

  4. The job details will automatically populate from the search result

  5. Click "Match Job" to begin analysis

The job will become automatically bookmarked in your Job Tracker!

Example: Search for "Software Engineer" to see available positions, then select one to analyze how well your resume matches that specific role.

Option 3: Manual Job Entry

Best for: Jobs you found on external job boards or company websites

How to use:

  1. Manually enter the job title and company name in the provided fields below the search bar

  2. Copy and paste the complete job description from the original posting

  3. Click "Match Job" to begin analysis

The job will become automatically bookmarked in your Job Tracker!

Example: If you found a "Customer Success Manager" role at "ExampleTech" on a niche job board - or, forwarded to you from a colleague - manually enter these details and paste the full job description. The job will become automatically saved in your Job Tracker!
