Using AI - Bullets

Use our Bullets AI tool to generate and edit bullet points to appropriately showcase your experiences and achievements

Updated today

NOTE: The Bullets AI tool should be used to build foundational text that you can then customize to best fit your experiences. When generating your bullet points, the AI does its best to conceptualize your experiences and any connected job description.

Since the results are meant to be a starting point, our AI may generate metrics that aren't accurate to you โ€“ make sure to read through the generated statements and adjust any details that don't feel right! Only you know the real details of your experiences.

Free Teal members will have 10 credits to use for AI bullet generation, and Teal+ members have unlimited generations.

Generate New Bullet Points

Open the work experience that you would like to generate new bullet points for and select "Add Bullet." You'll see three generation options: (1) Suggest Bullet, (2) AI Editor, (3) Keywords, and (4) Job Description.

Suggest Bullet

For a starting point, you can click the "Suggest Bullet" button to generate three general bullets related to your role title.

If you're not satisfied with the results, you can click "Regenerate" to view new bullet options!

AI Editor

If you have specific criteria for your bullets, you can enter a custom AI generation prompt by clicking "AI Editor."

Keywords

Clicking the "Keywords" button will present you with a short list of keywords you can incorporate into your bullet. You'll see the option to add your own keywords as well!

NOTE: If you are not matched to a job, the keywords will be drawn from the position title instead of a job listing description.

Job Description

If your resume is matched to a job, you'll see the "Job Description" button appear. This is where you can select a responsibility or requirement from the job description to inform the AI generation.

After creating your new bullet, you'll see it displayed with additional customization options below it. If you'd like to learn more about the customizations you can make, read on!

Otherwise, click "Save" to add the bullet to your Resume Builder.

Customize Your Bullets

To further customize your bullet points, you can Improve with AI, use our AI Editor, add Keywords, or incorporate details from a Job Description.

AI Editor

Similar to how you would include certain criteria when generating a new bullet point with a custom prompt, you can prompt the AI tool to make specific adjustments in "AI Editor."

If you prefer your original bullet to the newly generated one, you can click the "Undo" button to revert the changes.

For more advice and suggestions related to prompting the AI, check out our blog post HERE.
