Looking to practice your interview skills for a role? Read on to learn how to leverage our AI Interview Agent!
NOTE: Free Teal users can start up to 10 interview practice sessions. Teal+ members will have unlimited interview practice sessions.
Accessing the Interview Agent
In your Job Tracker, click into the role that you would like to practice an interview for to open a detailed view of that listing. Click "Practice Interview" and enable your browser's microphone and camera permissions (if you haven't already).
For saved jobs with the "Interviewing" status, you can open the Interview Agent from the "Interview Tracking" section as well.
Using the Interview Agent
To start a practice interview session, click "Start Practice Interview." After a brief countdown, our Teal AI Interviewer will begin conversing with you in a similar manner to an actual interview.
If you have our "Live Transcript" setting toggled on, you'll see our AI Interviewer's questions and your responses written out as they are shared.
Our Interview Agent is designed to mimic how an actual interview could go, and you'll often see the AI Interviewer take into account your answer before either asking a follow-up question or a new one.
You can even ask the AI Interviewer for time to think about your responses!
If you would like to pause the interview practice session entirely at any time, you can click the "Pause" button located in the bottom left corner of the page. Your interview timer will be paused, and you'll see the option to "Resume" the interview when you're ready.
Similar to a real interview, you'll also be given time at the end to ask questions about the company or the role.
Once your interview is complete, the AI Interviewer will wrap up the conversation, and you'll need to click the "End Practice" button to return to your Job Tracker.
After the Interview
Upon ending your practice session, you'll be taken to the detailed Job Tracker view for the role you just interviewed for. Here, you'll be able to view feedback on your overall performance and answers for a particular session, access the transcript and recording for a certain interview, and start a new practice session.
